The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies meet Wednesday in NBA action at the FedExForum.
The Golden State Warriors look for another victory to build on their six-game winning streak. The Golden State Warriors are averaging 117.8 points on 49.1 percent shooting and allowing 111.1 points on 44.3 percent shooting. Stephen Curry is averaging 27.6 points and 5.3 assists while Kevin Durant is averaging 26.1 points and 6.5 rebounds. Klay Thompson is the third double-digit scorer and DeMarcus Cousins is grabbing 8.1 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 38.4 percent from beyond the arc and 80.2 percent from the free throw line. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 34.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46.1 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors have won six of their last eight road games.
The Memphis Grizzlies look to finish the season on a high note after losing seven of their last 10 games. The Memphis Grizzlies are averaging 103.3 points on 44.9 percent shooting and allowing 106.1 points on 45.1 percent shooting. Mike Conley is averaging 21.1 points and 6.4 assists while Jonas Valanciunas is averaging 19.9 points and 10.7 rebounds. Avery Bradley is the third double-digit scorer and Jaren Jackson Jr. is grabbing 4.7 rebounds. The Memphis Grizzlies are shooting 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 77.1 percent from the free throw line. The Memphis Grizzlies are allowing 36 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41.7 rebounds per game. The Memphis Grizzlies have split their last six home games.
The Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference, 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 0 days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Grizzlies are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games, 3-14 ATS in their last 17 games playing on 0 days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games. The Warriors are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The over is 9-3 in Grizzlies last 12 overall. The under is 17-5 in Warriors last 22 overall.
It's fair to expect the Golden State Warriors to rest majority of their starters with everything locked up in the West, but their roster is still a lot more attractive than what the Grizzlies have to offer. The Memphis Grizzlies have been resting nearly half their roster lately and it's led to guys who shouldn't be playing in an NBA game playing 30 or so minutes. While competitive against the Detroit Pistons last night, the Grizzlies blew a 20-point lead rather quickly and showed the lack of available bodies is tough to overcome. No matter who plays for the Warriors, it's Golden State or pass.
