Padres: Ross has been a staple in the rotation this season, with S.D. winning seven of his past nine starts. The veteran righty is 1-0 in two starts vs. S.F. this season, and will look to add on to his last start when he allowed three hits in six innings.

Padres: Richard has worked at least six frames in his past eight starts and is undefeated (3-0) in June. His shortest start of the season, however, came vs. S.F. on May 2, when he went just four-plus frames and gave up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits.
